Joo（artofjuu）は、オーストラリアを拠点とするコンセプトアーティスト兼イラストレーターで、現在ゲーム業界やウェブコミックの分野で活躍しています。建築学のバックグラウンドを持ち、彼女の作品やデザインにはブルータリズム・モニュメンタリズム、アール・デコ、アール・ヌーヴォーのモチーフが多く見られ、それらを現代的な視点で再解釈しています。
仕事や人生の経験からインスピレーションを得て、彼女のイラストレーションやデザインは、「美」とその対極にあるものの繊細なバランスを探求しています。Jooは、芸術家として自身の技術を磨き続けることに情熱を注ぎ、優雅さと荒々しさ、洗練と混沌が共存する美しい対比を、作品の中で表現できるようになることを目指しています。
Arts Itoyaでの滞在中は、日常生活や文化体験、滞在先の武雄での観察を取り入れた、個人的なゲームデザインプロジェクトに取り組んでいます。

Joo (artofjuu) is an Australia-based concept artist and illustrator, currently working in games and webcomics. Her background in architecture has led to many works and designs gravitating toward Brutalist-Monumentalism, Art Deco and Art Nouveau motifs, complete with a contemporary twist. Drawing from both working and life experiences, her illustrative works and design mainly explore the delicate interplay between ‘beauty’ and its antithesis. As an artist, Joo is dedicated to improving in her craft, in hopes of someday being able to consistently capture the fine balance where elegance and rawness, refinement and chaos, may coexist in harmonious contrast in her art and design.
Her time in Arts Itoya is dedicated to a personal game design project, drawing from daily life, cultural experiences and observations during her time in Takeo.
