「celestials」ARTS ITOYA 2026

記憶のジオラマ — スケジュール — 刻印 — 終わりのない反復 — 同じものによる置き換え。
疲れ果てて剥がれ落ちていく壁紙が、静的な伝統や保守主義の中に織り込まれている。

同じ道を何度も何度も歩き続けること。
実証済みの戦術やルート、やり方や手段に頼り続けること。
どんな代償を払ってでも欠陥を構造的に覆い隠そうとすること。

それに対して、混沌とし、流動的で、不揃いな「celestials」たちは、社会の大多数によって設定された障壁や境界のあいだで、生き延びる道を模索している。
適応することで、celestialsは変化し、超越していくが、それが必ずしも良い方向とは限らない。

インスタレーション《Celestials》は、歪められた「伝統的価値」と称されるものに基づいて進行する極右運動の拡大を反映している。
それはマイノリティや社会に適合しない人々が完全な市民として認められることを妨げたり、あるいはその権利を奪ったりしている。

“Celestials” at ARTS ITOYA 2026

Diorama of a memory — schedule — inscription — endless repetition — replacement by the same, disintegrating weary peel-off wallpaper, interwoven in static tradition and conservativism.

Walking down the same road over and over again. Relying on proven tactics, paths, ways and means. Structural cover up of the flaws at any cost.

In opposition to this, chaotic, moving, mismatched “celestials” find their way to survive between barriers and boundaries set by the major part of the society. By adapting, celestials are transcending and change, but not necessarily for the better.

Installation “Celestials” is a reflection on growing far-right movements, which base their direction on distorted so-called traditional values, thus preventing minorities and all the non-fits from becoming full-scale citizens or stripping them of their rights.
