滞在中のアーティストSachiko Odashimaを紹介します。

これまで風景画を中心に描いてきました。最近はとりわけ古木に強い関心を抱いています。長い年月を生き抜いてきた木々がたたえる存在感や、その奥に感じられる畏怖の念に心を動かされています。

ここ武雄では、主に神社に佇むクスノキを描いていきたいと考えています。人々の祈りや歴史を静かに見守り続けてきた古木の姿を通して、時間の重なりや目に見えない気配を画面に表現していけたらと思います。

 I have primarily worked on landscape paintings.  Recently , however, my interest has turned toward ancient trees. I am deeply moved by their enduring presence and the sense of awe that comes from the long passage of time they embody.

Here in Takeo, I hope to focus on painting camphor trees found at local shrines. Through these sacred, time-worn trees that have silently witnessed generations of human prayer and history, I aim to express layers of time and an intangible sense of presence within my work.
