以下アーティストからのメッセージです。

この武雄でのレジデンスでは、地域で手に入る素材、とりわけ土と紙を中心に制作しています。これは、素材そのものが持つ無限の可能性——生のままの美しさ、変化しうる性質、そして異なる素材同士が混ざり合う力——を探求する、私の継続的な試みの一部です。

武雄とその周辺地域は、陶磁器の生産と深く結びついています。私は現在、@hiryugama_official で手に入る4種類の陶土、梅崎（茶）、梅崎（赤）、信楽、黒泥を用いて実験を行っています。それぞれの土は、独自の色、性質、そして素材そのものの質感を持っています。さまざまな陶のかたちを通して、作品は土を単なる造形のための素材としてではなく、作り手の意図と素材の反応とのあいだに予測不能な対話を生み出す、能動的な存在として探求しています。
さらに、@Naotesukiwashi への訪問はこの探求を広げ、和紙と土を組み合わせた実験へとつながりました。この出会いは、彫刻作品やインスタレーション作品に向けた新たな方向性を開くものとなりました。

This residency at Takeo centres on locally sourced materials, particularly clay and paper, continuing my ongoing exploration into the limitless possibilities inherent within materials — their raw aesthetics, mutability and intermixing ability.

Takeo and its surrounding region are deeply rooted in ceramic production. I am experimenting with four clay bodies available at @hiryugama_official, 梅崎 (茶) Umezaki (Yellow), 梅崎 (赤) Umezaki (Red), 信楽 Shigaraki and 黒泥 Kokudei. Each clay possesses its own distinct colour, character and raw texture. Through a range of ceramic forms, the works explore clay not merely as a medium for construction, but as an active material capable of generating unpredictable dialogue between intention and material response.

A visit to @Naotesukiwashi further expanded this exploration, prompting experiments between washi (Japanese paper) and clay. This encounter opened new directions for sculptural and installation-based works.
