ベン・ハーブは、オーストラリアのキャンベラ出身のサウンドアーティスト、作曲家、パフォーマーです。オーストラリア国立大学音楽学部を卒業し、ベンはANUニューミュージックアンサンブル、実験音楽スタジオ、Opus、そしてLost Coastなどのバンドを含む、地元および国際的な実験音楽・アートコミュニティの多くのメンバーと共同で活動しています。最近のベンの仕事は、Lost Coastのための新しい音楽の制作や短編映画のための作曲に焦点を当てています。
作曲家としてのベンの関心は、プログレッシブやポストロック、ミニマリズム、自由即興などの現代の形式によって形づくられています。
アーツイトーヤでの滞在中、ベンは武雄の周囲にインスパイアされたグラフィックスコアのシリーズを作曲することを希望しています。

Ben Harb is a sound artist, composer and performer from Canberra, Australia. As a graduate of the Australian National University’s School of Music Ben has worked with many members of the local and international experimental music and art communities including the ANU New Music Ensemble, the Experimental Music Studio, Opus and bands such as Lost Coast. Ben’s recent work has focused on production of new music for Lost Coast and composition for short film.
Ben’s interests as a composer are informed by contemporary forms like prog and post rock genres, minimalism and free-improvisation.
During his stay at Arts Itoya, Ben hopes to compose a series of graphic scores inspired by the surroundings of Takeo.
