Jeffrey – Visual artist from Rotterdam
Hi! Iʼm Jeffrey, an artist, illustrator and city guide from Rotterdam, the Netherlands. In my work, I capture everyday life in colorful cityscapes filled with detail, humor and familiarity. Through drawings, workshops and sketch tours, I aim to connect people with their surroundings, with each other, and with their own creativity.
My work can be found in galleries, shops, and private and corporate collections. During this residency in Takeo, I hope to be inspired by Japanese aesthetics and capture new stories through my art.

こんにちは！私はジェフリー。オランダのロッテルダム出身のアーティスト、イラストレーター、そしてシティガイドです。
私の作品では、ユーモアや親しみのあるディテールを込めて、⽇日常の街の⾵風景をカラフルに描いています。ドローイング、ワークショップ、スケッチツアーを通して、⼈人々が⾃自分の周りの環境や他の⼈人々、そして⾃自分⾃自身の創造性とつながることを⽬目指しています。
私の作品は、ギャラリーやショップ、また個⼈人や企業のコレクションにも収められています。
今回の武雄でのアーティスト・イン・レジデンスでは、⽇日本の美意識からインスピレーションを受け、新たな物語をアートで表現したいと思っています。
