現在ARTS ITOYAで滞在制作中のアーティスト、Sighle Bhreathnach-Cashellの滞在成果を発表する個展「Huis of Jorōgumo」を11月24日(土)、25日(日)17時30分〜に開催いたします。 (17時30分よりアーティストトーク、18時より展示開始となります。) シーラ・ブラニック・キャッシェルさんは、北アイルランド、オランダを拠点として活動する、ビジュアルアーティストです。 2010年にGlasgow School of Artの環境芸術学部の学位を取得後、2015年にオランダのPiet Zwart Instituteで美術の修士号を取得。 その後、the curatorial collective Household(http://householdbelfast.co.uk/)の共同創立者の一員、Array Studios(http://www.arraystudiosbelfast.com/about.html)の責任者を務める。また世界各国数々のレジデンスプログラムに参加。 彼女は主に、心理的な実験や、インテリアデザイン、社会的イベントからインスピレーションを得て、観客を巻き込む空間を作り上げます。 これまでに’PROCEDURE’(Belfast 2011)や’GAMES NIGHT!’(Glasgow 2012 https://www.sighlebc.com/games-night)など、大規模な演劇アートイベントの企画と制作の両方を行っています。 Sighle Bhreathnach-Cashellの個展「Huis of Jorōgumo」 11月24日(土)、25日(日)17時30分〜　入場無料 ”女郎蜘蛛の家” 半分リアル半分ファンタジー、非現実的なロマンチックな理想と、撮影された記憶からなる夢の生活を織り込んだ、女郎蜘蛛の家へあなたを招待します。今回ARTS ITOYAへの滞在の一つの理由、彼女の制作拠点の一つである、オランダの建物を再現させた、”ハウステンボス”が個展のキーとなっております。実在するものをファンタジー化し、テーマパークとなっているハウステンボス。 武雄の風景、ハウステンボスの風景、オランダの風景映像をミックスし、この展示のキャラクターである”女郎蜘蛛”の住む、空想空間を作り上げました。 現実と非現実、本物と偽物が入り混じる空間をお楽しみください。   ARTS ITOYA 佐賀県武雄市武雄町大字武雄7271 https://www.instagram.com/artsitoya/ https://www.facebook.com/ArtsItoyaTakeo/
