Nidhi Dave (b.2002) is a multi-disciplinary artist who holds a preoccupation with clay and ceramics. Mystified by the tactility, process and history of ceramic culture across the world, her practice is an investigative journey that aims to retain the rhythm of the vast ceramic process in the final work. As a result, she hopes to shift the conversation around ceramics beyond its repertoire of functionality and aesthetics. She enjoys the challenge of working within her surrounding context of culture and history and often takes on an investigative approach in a journey to unearth nuanced narratives. She often works with local material and is experimental with the process and her final ceramic works exist as a testament of the artists presence and the vast wilderness of an unfamiliar landscape.
